The name for what we offer is agritourism, a well used phrase internationally but you might be familiar with other terms such as farm stay, farm holidays, and farm shop.

What makes us Different?

As well as running a tourism or leisure business we are all working farmers on real working farms. Look out for our “Go Rural” cow to signify you are on a real working farm.

We are all different. The people welcoming you on to Scottish farms are real characters, all unique with a different story to tell. We love a story and we don’t mind sharing tales of our life and farming culture with you.

All of our farms are different. The type of food we produce is determined by the landscape, the soil and weather, and our expertise in growing a particular crop or rearing livestock gained over generations. You can travel the length and breadth of Scotland and no two farm experiences will be the same. A great reason to try as many as you can.

Our local Communities

Over 80% of Scotland land is farmland and many of us have lived in the one location for multiple generations. Some of our network have had twelve generations live on the same farm spanning over two hundred and fifty years. Even those relative newcomers who have farmed in the same spot for thirty years have an immense local knowledge and close relationships with their wider community.

Being at the heart of the local countryside means we can offer our visitors the best information on where else to eat, drink and explore in our neighbourhood when you come to visit our farm.
